We blogged about tips for choosing your fall session outfits, but Christmas is a little different! Christmas requires a different type of color scheme than fall does. The tips may sound similar BUT they’re different! We want to share them with you just before our Christmas minis start so you can be best prepared!

When choosing your Christmas outfits, you want to really make sure that you’re not all wearing the same color. That’s the biggest tip we can give you. If you’re booked for a studio Christmas mini, don’t all wear green or red. Mix up those colors so it doesn’t look like there’s a big glob of red in the photo. If you’re booked for a red truck mini, I’d suggest you focus more on green and white than red because the red truck is SO vibrant that adding more red isn’t always the greatest option.

We LOOOOOOOOVE Christmas PJs!! If you’re a fan of Christmas pj’s, we’d LOVE for you to come dressed in your pj’s! Studio minis are great for this! This is also probably the only time we’d say that it’s okay for you all to be matching. There’s just something about Christmas PJ photos that is SO cozy and we LOVE them! You can even come in your Christmas Pjs for Red Truck photos. We’ve had that happen before and we loved it!

If you’re looking for something other than the typical Christmas colors, we love neutrals for Christmas time! Tans, white, beige, and light green are all really great options! We’ve also seen colors like navy go really well for Christmas photos too!
