We’re gearing up for our fall minis! Our first set is in just over a month! We wanted to take the time to write a blog about choosing outfits for your fall family session. Typically fall photos are for Christmas cards, so we want to make sure our tips help you choose outfits for the whole family that you LOVE! We’re thrilled to be sharing these tips with you!

CLIENT EXPERIENCE GUIDE

The first tip we want to give you is to take a look at our client experience guide! We send out our custom client experience guide with our client questionnaire once you pay your retainer fee and sign your contract. That guide has tips for our clients when it comes to choosing outfits for your family! Those aren’t season-specific tips, but they’re still really helpful! 

COLOR SCHEME

The next tip we can give is for you to think ahead to what you’d like these photos for! Are they just for social media and for keepsakes? Do you want to use these images for your 2022 Christmas Card? Are these going up on your walls in your house? All of these things are things you’ll want to factor in when choosing outfits for your family! You want to make sure colors don’t clash, you don’t have too much of a single color and you love the colors you chose!

OPTIONS

If you have young kids, having a couple options is a great idea! Having options allows for accidents to happen on the way to the session location or even at the session location. Sometimes kids get hungry in the car and they need a snack. Packing an extra outfit for them that goes along with your color scheme will be helpful just in case your child’s snack gets messy! We want you to always be prepared for anything!
