Meet the Henderson family! Stacy reached out to us soon after we started shooting in the spring wanting updated family portraits and we were so excited to serve her family! They had a sweet boy during COVID and wanted to send family photos out to extended family who didn’t live close, as he was about to turn 1! This summer family portrait session was definitely one for the books. It was definitely a learning experience.

We started the Henderson’s session out as soon as we got to Downtown McKinney! The kids were doing an INCREDIBLE job and once we got to the part where we were going to take individual photos of their one year old, my SD card QUIT on me. Of course, I didn’t have another one with me because I only had 1 at the time.

You guys, I felt horrible. Here I am calling a friend to try and figure out if there’s anything I can do or if there’s someone close by who can bring me another SD card and NOTHING. I was so embarrassed. I couldn’t tell you what happened but every single photo was black. All my settings were correct. Everything was fine but it wouldn’t save the photos I was taking.

We quickly decided that we got some great photos before hand and I was able to access them as soon as I got home to start editing. We rescheduled their session to a later date at a location closer to them and those photos turned out incredible!
