McKinney family photographer here! I’m here to introduce you to the Davies family! This spring family portrait session at Adriatica Village was SO much fun. They wanted to update their family photos and they contacted us to schedule a session at one of our FAVORITE spots. This family came prepared with all the big smiles, GORGEOUS coordinating spring pastel colors and the most fun attitude for their family portraits!

We started our session off under the awning. The cobblestone walkways and roads are the most beautiful tan color. The Davies’ pastel pinks and blues meshed so well with the area. We got some amazing shots of the family posed together and them walking side by side. Then big brother needed a little break so we chose one of our favorite posing prompts to let him run off some energy!

This is a posing prompt we use, OFTEN. We have the kids stand next to our photographer, position the parents a little ways away where they’re kneeling or squatting. We tell the kids “when I say go, I want you to run as fast as you can to give mommy and daddy a BIG HUG.” Then we count down from 3 and capture the MAGIC. Another thing we like to do is suggest that parents bring a mess-free snack for their kids! They can give them a snack break in between shots and this helps a ton.

This spring portrait session at Adriatica Village was so much fun! As you can tell, we really got the opportunity to capture the personalities of each family member.
