The Miller family’s lifestyle newborn session was a blast to capture. We love shooting lifestyle newborn sessions. It allows us the opportunity to capture a glimpse of what life is like with a precious new baby. Baby girl was so ready for this session! Mom really wanted her to be asleep for her individual photos but she fought sleep so hard. We eventually got her to fall asleep and she did an amazing job with her big brother and mommy and daddy! This Dallas newborn photographer session was SO sweet and we’re thrilled to be sharing it with you!

When it comes to lifestyle newborn sessions, there’s a lot to prepare for. Having a new baby at home is SUCH a joy, but it can be really hard at times. We give as much information to the family as we can for their session so they can be prepared and ready to start when we show up. The Miller family did JUST that. As soon as I arrived, mom pulled out her own props and got baby girl ready for her individual shots as dad was playing with big brother.

Mom wanted little sister to be asleep for her posed newborn photos, but she just wasn’t having it! We worked with her until she fell asleep. She was such a champ while mom and her photographer were moving her around to get the perfect shots!

Can I just say that we LOVED how these photos turned out? Because we LOVED THEM. Baby girls nursery had the perfect natural light and we put her on her white fuzzy carpet which made for such light and creamy photos. Once we got some good shots of baby girl all by herself, we called in for reinforcements.

Big brother to the rescue!

Big brother came to the rescue and was ready to hold little sister. He did such a great job. He loves holding his baby sister so he got to do that in her rocking chair in her nursery. She stayed sound asleep through the whole thing! Once big brother needed a break, we moved on to mom and dad. Mom looked STUNNING in her blue dress and dad made sure to snap a photo of the side of his head because he had an awesome mullet. He said “I want her to know her dad was rad when she was a baby.”

Once we did that, we got to snap a few shots of the whole family together with their newest addition. We are so honored that the Miller family chose us to capture such sweet moments for them. Thanks Miller family for letting us be part of some of your first memories at home with your new baby girl!
